About the Yamaha VMAX
The Yamaha VMAX is a cruiser motorcycle produced by Yamaha from 1985 to 2020. Designed by Kenji Ekuan of GK Design Group, Atsushi Ichijō, Ed Burke and John Reed under Akira Araki, the VMAX was noted for its 1.2L V4 engine and distinctive styling. On release the bike was critically acclaimed, winning many awards; it was noted by magazines as having quick acceleration but poor cornering ability. Apart from a facelift and redesign in 2009 the VMAX remained largely the same over its production life.
