About the Shelby Series 1
The Shelby Series 1 is a Hot Wheels model which debuted in the Carroll Shelby Cobra 2-Car Set in the collector-aimed 100% Hot Wheels series. The Series 1 was the only car designed by Carroll Shelby from the ground up, rather than being a modification of an existing car. It was powered by an Oldsmobile 4.0L V8 which took the car from 0-60mp/h in 4.4 seconds. The Hot Wheels version featured an opening hood which displayed a detailed engine. It was only used twice before being discontinued.
