About the Porsche 908-3
The Porsche 908 is a sports prototype racing car manufactured by Porsche for use in endurance racing from 1968 to 1971. Designed by Helmuth Bott, the 908 acted as Porsche's entrant into the World Sportscar Championship in 1968, initially as a coupe before being redesigned into a spider due to continuously changing regulations. The 908/03 (alternatively 908/3) was designed in 1970 as an alternative to cars such as the 917K which were deemed unsuitable for slow and twisty tracks such as the Nürbur
