About the Ford Mark II
The Ford GT40 was an Anglo-American high-performance endurance racing car produced by Ford in different iterations from 1964 to 1969, spawned from the Ford GT project for the car to compete in American races. The GT40 Mk II was a substantial rebuild of the GT40 by Holman Moody, allowing the car to accommodate a 7.0L Ford V8; using this car, Ford dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans for 1966 and continued to win with successive iterations of the GT40 until 1969. 4 chassis were produced.
