About the Fire-Eater II
The Fire Eater II is based on an ERF PF 84 water tender truck. This model was originally used and designed by Corgi, and made its debut in the Europe-exclusive Auto City line. This tooling was referred to by Corgi as the ERF Fire Engine Water Tender and introduced in 1970; it was the second fire truck tooling made by Corgi and then remade by Hot Wheels, after the Flame Stopper II, a reissue of the Corgi ERF Simon Snorkel Fire Engine under a different name and the Hot Wheels brand.
