About the Exploder (Scorchers)
The Exploder is a Scorchers model based on a concept racing panel van of some sort; this was one of two models in 1981 which were based on fictitious vehicles. The model was used twice and then discontinued in around 1982 with the rest of the Scorchers line; while some were repurposed into the mainline and some as Shift Kickers vehicles, this is one of the various models which never saw the light of day again. This model is not to be confused with the Xploder introduced in the 1973 mainline or
