About the Custom Otto

The Custom Otto is a muscle car based on the artwork from the original Hot Wheels packaging from 1968. This model, referred to as the "Lost Redline" in years past was resurrected in 2008 for Hot Wheel's 40th Anniversary. The car was created by Larry Wood from original artwork by artist Otto Kuhni and named Custom Otto to honor Otto. Harry Bradley contributed to the original design sketch while Larry Wood created a new design for the rear.
