About the Concept TIE Fighter (Starship)
With its roaring engine inspired by WW2 Super Dive-Bombers, the TIE Fighter's design was influenced from paintings by artist John Beckey. Lucas and Cantwell had to make sure this ship looked different from the good guys for a completely different shape.
