About the 1990 Chevy 454 SS
The Chevrolet 454 SS is a high-performance version of the fourth generation Chevrolet C/K trucks. Designed by Donald Wood, the 454 SS derived its appearance and performance from that generation's Sport Equipment Package; it was distinguished by its all black exterior, unique red badging and Silverado interior trim. As its name suggests the 454 SS was powered by a 454 ci (7.4L) big block V8; the 1990 model year truck was equipped with a 3-speed Turbo-Hyrdamatic TH400 automatic. Additional color s
