About the 1972 BMW 2002
The BMW 2002 is a two-door compact sports sedan manufactured from 1968 to 1975. Designed by Georg Bertram and Manfred Rennen, the 2002 was essentially a 1600-2 fitted with a 2.0L M10 inline-4 which was sold in two states of tune. A number of variants of the 2002 would later spawn, with notable versions being the Baur Convertible and the 2002 Turbo. 42,895 were produced for 1972. This model is based on a BMW 2002 with rally modifications. It has an opening hood.
